A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Brian thrives in bad weather and is fueled by yerba mate - the newest addition to his tea collection since returning from Chilean Patagonia. For the last three years, Brian has spent his summers working as a wildland firefighter on engines, helicopters, and handcrews while taking his camera into the smoke and flames. Behind the lens, he will do whatever it takes to capture images that tell more than the story, but brings you immersed into the environment. Outside of photography, Brian enjoys dancing barefoot to bluegrass and cooking up gourmet meals in the backcountry.
